Biography of Choje Lama Khedup Rinpoche,
Resident Master of Karma Norbuling Buddhist Centre
Ven. Choje Lama Khedup Rinpoche was born in year 1955, in West Tibet. At the age of twelve, he was ordained by Ven. Dupseng Rinpoche and took the novice monk vows from H.H 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. He also continue his ritual training at the monastry.
In the year 1973, Choje Lama entered the renowed Sanskrit University in India and spent 9 years to pursue his studies of Buddhist Philosophy and other buddhist training. Upon completion of his studies, he was awarded the Archarya Degree which is equivalent to Master of Art(M.A.). In 1985, he joined the Rumtek Retreat Centre to perform the traditional Six Yoga of Naropa Retreat for 3years and 8 months.
After the completion of the retreat, he went back to Pokhara and become theVajra and Discipline Master of Jangchub Choeling Monastery untill year 1993.
In 1993, H.H Kunzig Shamarpa Rinpoche sent him to Kuala Lumpur Karma Kagyu Dharma Society in Malaysia as resident master and also to promote Buddhist teaching. Currently he is the Resident Master of Karma Norbuling Buddhist Centre, Alma, Bukit Mertajam. He is also the Religious Advisor for Sungai Petani Karma Kagyud Buddhist Centre, Kedah since 1998.
In year 2017, he had appointed as a Choje Lama for Karma Norbuling Buddhist Centre by H.H 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje to benefit all the devotees here.
